Who Submits?
  • All ILTs in their second year of experience in
    their licensure area
  • Lateral Entry teachers who are in at least their
    second year of teaching and have already or will
    have completed their required coursework by June
    30, 2004.
  • Resubmitters
  • Previous Non-Submitters
  • All of the above must hold a valid NC teaching
    license

When is it due?
  • May 28, 2004
  • Submit to Rae Leonard, Director of Staff
    Development and ILTs at the County Office
  • Put all documentation in the folder you currently
    have when you turn it in to the county office.

Things to Remember
  • All documents are legal documents and must be
    signed in ink by each participant with his/her
    title i.e. Mark Robertson, Principal Rebecca
    Duncan, Mentor LeVonda Martin, Peer Observer
    Mary Jackson, ILT
  • Copies should be legible.

What happens to this documentation?
  • This is not a Pass/Fail review. Any
    documentation that is not present does not count
    against the ILT.
  • Missing documentation will be noted by a
    statement written by the principal.
  • Information gathered from this documentation will
    be used to
  • Provide data to support Mentor and ILT training
    initiatives.
  • Assessment data for LEAs to monitor their
    progress in working with ILTs.
  • Assessment data for individual schools to monitor
    their progress in working with ILTs.

When will I receive notification that the review
is over?
  • ILTs will receive a letter of completion when the
    Interim Requirement documentation is returned to
    the LEA. The documentation will not be returned
    to the ILT but kept on file at the county office.

Whats next?
  • Collect the documentation listed on your check
    sheet and begin to organize this into 2002-2003
    and 2003-2004.
  • Paper clip each years documentation together and
    add to it as this year continues.
  • Submit completed documentation to Rae Leonard by
    May 28, 2004.
