Title: The Missio Dei
1The Missio Dei
Gods communicative action in the world through
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, communicated to
us through the incarnated Christ, revealed to us
through the Word and Sacraments, and proclaimed
to the world through the Church, in order that
the lost might be found and saved, and those
brought into the Kingdom become active
participants in the Missio Dei.
2The Missio Dei
- Matthew 2819-20
- Luke 2446-47
- Mark 1615-16
- Acts 18
3Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority
in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you. And surely
I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
This is what is written The Christ will suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day and
repentance and forgiveness of sins will be
preached in His name to all nations beginning in
Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. Go
into all the world and preach the Good News to
all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized
will be saved, but whoever does not believe will
be condemned. But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
