- Leader-In-Training Details
- Opportunity for 15 to 17 year-old youth who
would like to grow into camp leaders. - Program runs concurrently with weekly resident
camp. - Three male spaces, three female spaces per week,
with each participant assigned to a staff
mentor. - Participants must be accepted via application
process. - Full participation in camp activities with
younger campers, leadership sessions and
behind-the-scenes responsibility is expected.

- Whitewater Adventures Details
- Offsite adventure trip for 14-17 year old
campers. - Arrival 200PM Sunday
- Departure 1000AM Friday
- Campers practice paddling and safety skills on
Lake Hazel, then on the Mayo River. - Culminating trip to French Broad River in western
North Carolina. - Two nights camping near rafting site.

- Agent-recruited campers - Join your county 4H
agent for a trip to camp. Registration and
fees, even transportation, are handled through
the county 4H office. To find out if your
county is sending a contingent to camp, contact
your local 4H office. - Open Enrollment Direct registration through the
Centers office, with the flexibility to come
when it best suits your summer calendar. Visit

- Built in 1964, the campus has been well-loved
over the years, providing a strong combination
of both indoor spaces and opportunities for
outdoor exploration. - Ongoing miracles performed by an amazing
maintenance crew, along with some much-needed
repair and renovation funds from NC State
University will continue to make the Center
viable for the next fifty years of programming.
