  • West of the Cascades
  • Along the Pacific waters and the Puget sound
  • From Oregon to Alaska

  • Moist, humid, marine and less extreme weather

  • Very lush ( this is used for a place to hide in,
    hunt in, and play in)
  • The ocean (used to bath in, cool off in, travel
    in, and a place to get food)
  • Berries and other natural fruits or vegetables
    (used for paint and food)

What type of house would I live in if I were a
coastal native?
  • If you were a native you would live in a Plank
    house.
  • Poles hold up long huge cedar planks
  • There is a fire in the center, straight above it
    there is a hole in the roof to let all smoke out
  • There are long shelves and compartments by the
    walls for storage and places to sleep in.
  • Salmon hang from the roof
