Food

• Most of the food that the coastal people ate were
  from the water like salmon, whales, shell fish,
  mussels and clams. But some were from land like
  roots, nuts and berries.

Knowledge for hunting and fishing

• The skills needed for hunting and fishing are,
  when the salmon come and how to make things like
  long houses.

Transportation

• The coastal people moved around by, swimming,
  canoeing and foot.

Native Americans strategy

• Coastal people used as much as possible of there
  food because every part is useful.

• One big useful vegetation to the coastal people
  is the seeder tree it supplies them with homes,
  cradles, beds and fire wood.

Types of houses

• The coastal people lived in long houses made of
  wood. More than one family lived in a long house.
  There is a big fire in the middle to cook and
  keep warm. At the top of the long house there is
  a small hole to let out the smoke of the fire in
  the long house.

Tools needed

• Some In order to hunt and fish they need to have
  wood for bows and arrows and flint for arrow and
  spear heads and arrow heads.

Good stewards Native Americans

• To be a good steward Native Americans use all of
  the food the eat and are not wasteful and they
  only kill food when they need it.

Stewards today

• I think we were not as good as stewards as Native
  Americans. I think this because we are sometimes
  wasteful and pollute. Sometimes we kill for sport
  as well.

• The tribes the coastal people have are Callam ,
  Chinook , Hoh , Hoh , Kallam , Qakan , ozette,
  Queets ,Quinault , Chenalis , Cowlitz , Duwamish
  , Lummi , Macklahoot , Nisqually , Nooksack ,
  Puyalup , Samish , Skigits , snoqualmies ,
  Uquamies , Willapa.

• The coastal peoples climate is a marine climate

• The coast is located west of the cascade
  mountains.

• Some of th3e natural resources are the salmon
  that supply them with food. The trees witch
  supply them with homes, beds , and fire would.
  The plants witch supply them with food also.
