The Holocaust

• In Germany they came first for the Communists,
  and I didnt speak up because I wasnt a
  Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I
  didnt speak up because I wasnt a Jew. Then
  they came for the trade unionists, and I didnt
  speak up because I wasnt a trade unionist. Then
  they came for the Catholics, and I didnt speak
  up because I was a Protestant. Then they came
  for me, and by that time there was no one left to
  speak up.

• The earliest Nazi death squads simply lined
  people up and shot them. This was not a very
  efficient solution to the Jewish Problem. The
  death camps would come later.

• Human experimentation was carried out in the
  death camps. Two children were sewn together
  some children had their fingers cut off. People
  were injected with horrible diseases.

• The Einsatzgruppen or traveling death squads
  could not kill people fast enough. The
  concentration camps became the answer factories
  of death
