Introduction
  • Breaking newsThere has been a fire at Enarson
Elementary in Villisca, Iowa. No one was hurt,
but there was considerable damage done in one
particular area of the school. The library was
hit the hardest and many books were destroyed.
The section with the biggest loss seems to be the
Explorers section. The fifth grade class was
just getting ready to use these books and start
their research on famous explorers. This fire
sure has put a damper on things! Well bring you
more updates as they become available.

Task
  • Calling all 5th grade students You have a task
in order to help with the results of the
devastating fire that swept through the Enarson
Elementary Library. You are going to help
reproduce the books about famous explorers. You
will research a famous explorer and create a
booklet with important information pertaining to
that person. Your efforts will greatly help in
rebuilding the librarys assortment of books.

Conclusion
  • Now that you have become an expert on your
explorer, you will be able to impart your wisdom
to those that follow in your footsteps at Enarson
Elementary. I encourage you to read the books of
your classmates and become more informed on other
explorers who also shaped our world. Good work
    5th grade students!
