Lesson 3.1- System of Spheres

• Our Planets Spheres
• atmosphere- the Earths outer covering of air
• hydrosphere- provides living things with water
  such as oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams
• lithosphere- Earths solid, rocky outer shell.
  It provides plants with minerals and soil and
  plants provide animals with food

The Interactive Spheres

• The three spheres together form a system in which
  each sphere affects the others.
• Because of the suns energy, different parts of
  the spheres are able to move from one sphere to
  another (water cycle is an example).

The Sphere of Life

• The interaction of the atmosphere, the
  lithosphere, and the hydrosphere creates another
  sphere, which is called the sphere of life, the
  biosphere.
• The system of spheres makes life possible on
  Earth.
• Living things are found in all parts of the
  Earths biosphere.
