Why do we need SSG?

• To increase the reach of management consulting in
  SI,
• measured in of GDP, nowadays Slovenian
  management consulting industry reaches 50-70 of
  level achieved in most developed world economies,
• To strengthen and improve our position on
  Slo-market,
• to take over the leading role at medium-sized
  projects for all clients and to enter the market
  of large projects,
• To concretize connections with international
  consulting companies,
• above all on markets, traditionally connected
  with Slovenian economy all bordering countries
  (Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Italy), Germany,
  France, Scandinavian countries

Historical overview

• Mid-2004 start of discussion in AMCOS (ZMCS)
  concerning the potential need of stronger,
  market-oriented collaboration of Slo-consulting
  companies,
• Beginning 2005 decision that AMCOS would support
  the creation of Slovenian Consulting Cluster,
• Mid-2005 first meeting of consulting companies,
  members of AMCOS, interested in idea of creating
  the Slovenian Consulting Cluster
  41 companies presented (50 of AMCOS
  members),
• October 2005 16 companies, members of AMCOS
  signed the contract for creation of SSG,
  (Slovenian) Consulting Cluster, EIG,
• October 2006 8 (of 16) members confirm their
  interest to continue and strengthen the
  activities of SSG in the future.
