Concept Guiding Principles
  • to preserve the spirit of interoperability,

    the NATO engineer community as embodied by ENTEC

Military Engineering - Terminology
  • MC 0560 / AJP 3.12
  • Military Engineering is that engineer activity
    undertaken, regardless of component or service,
    to shape the physical operating environment. (1)
  • 1. Military Engineering does not encompass the
    activities undertaken by those engineers who
    maintain, repair and operate vehicles, vessels,
    aircraft, weapon systems and equipment.

BOUNDARIES AND SCOPE OF MILENG COE
  • Primarily at Operational and Tactical level
    support to Strategic level issues within
    capabilities
  • All aspects of Mil Engr as encapsulated in AJP
    3.12 and ATP 52 less
  • CBRN emerging CZE CBRN COE
  • EOD emerging SVK EOD COE
  • Geospatial J2 specialist area
  • Unlikely to conduct Modelling and Simulation but
    support others with Mil Engr SMEs as required (eg
    NC3A)

  • The Mil Engr COE mission is to provide
    joint and combined military engineer subject
    matter expertise in order to support NATOs
    military transformation, the SNs and other
    Customers thus enhancing the Alliances
    interoperability in the field of Military
    Engineering.
