Gehen

• The verb gehen means to go
• Ex Wir gehen in die Stadt.
• Were going to the city.

Heißen

• The verb heißen means to be called.
• Ex Ich heiße Jana.
• I am Jana.
• We ordinarily dont say I am called Jana
  though in German sentences that is how it is
  translated.

Kennen

• The verb kennen means to know
• Ex Er kennt Julia gut.
• He knows Julia well.
• The verb kennen means to know people and places,
  not facts.

Sein

• The verb sein means to be
• Ex Ich bin fünfzehn.
• I am fifteen.
• The verb sein is an irregular verb so it is
  conjugated differently

Wohnen

• The verb wohnen means to live
• Ex Wohnen Sie da drüben?
• Do you live over there?
