Aschwanden (LMSAL) The scientific objective of
the proposal is to investigate scaling laws of
physical parameters of solar nanoflares,
microflares, and flares, which provide
statistical information on the heating and
energy release processes in the solar corona. A
comprehensive summary of the results obtained in
this study and from previous related studies is
documented in the new textbook PHYSICS OF THE
