• 630 Muhammed breaks truce and attacks Mecca with
  10,000 men forcing all to accept Islam and
  destroys idols of Kaaba. All of Arabia submits
  to Islam.
• 632 Muhammed dies after pilgrimage (hajj) to
  Mecca. (62 yrs)
• Influences on Muhammads Theology
• His tribe (Quraysh) were custodians of Kaaba
  with 360 gods. Allah was the chief moon god.
  Hence- the crescent moon.
• Jesus is a great prophet (born of a virgin and
  did miracles) but not God.

• Legalists who taught the apostle Paul corrupted

  the heavenly array- do not be enticed into bowing
  down to them and worshiping.

• Sura 331 If you do love God, follow me, and God
  will love you and forgive you your sins. For God
  is oft-forgiving, most merciful.
• Note No way to determine if someone is
  justified as in Christianity.
• Five basic Doctrines
• There is one and only one God.
• There have been many prophets, including Noah,
  Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad.
• God created angels (jinn), some are good and some
  are evil.

• A final day of judgment is coming, followed by

Islamic Doctrine

• Six Pillars
• Shahada There is no god but Allah and Muhammad
  is his prophet.
• Salat - Ritual Prayer Quran calls for 3 times a
  day but custom law mandates 5 times a day
  sunrise, noon, afternoon, sunset, and night.
  (Must face the Kaaba in Mecca, must be pure-
  bath if possible).
• Zakat (Almsgiving) 2.5 percent annually to help
  poor, and the needy.
• Fasting during Ramadan June/July allegedly when
  the Quran came down.
• The Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
• Jihad holy war against infidels for their
  faith.
• Sura 914 Kill the infidels, God will torment
  and shame them.
• Sura 4829 Muhammad is Allahs prophet. Those
  who follow him are ruthless to the infidels but
  merciful to one another.

Major Doctrinal Differences

• Salvation
• By Works Sura 23104-5 In the day of judgment,
  they whose balances shall be heavy with good
  works, shall by happy but they, whose balances
  shall be light, are those who shall lose their
  souls, and shall remain in hell forever.
• Jesus
• Merely a prophet Sura 616
• Not the Son of God Sura 4171-72 Jesus, son of
  Mary, was no more than Gods apostle and his word
  which He cast to Mary a spirit from him. So
  believe in God and his apostles and do not say
  Three. God is but one God. God forbid that he
  should have a son.
• Not crucified or raised Sura 4157-158 (Jews to
  Mary) We have put to death the Messiah, Jesus
  son of Mary, the apostle of God. They did not
  kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they
  thought they didthey knew nothing about him that
  was not pure conjecture they did not slay him
  for certain

• The Bible is Gods word, not the Quran!
• Errors In The Quran
• Allah confuses Sauls army fighting the
  Philistines with Gideons 300 men who fought the
  Midianites (Sura 2149).
• Allah is confused and has the Samaritans making
  the golden calf for the Israelites when Moses is
  with the LORD on Sinai (Sura 2085). The
  Samaritans did not exist for another 700 years!
• Allah is confused and places Haman by the side of
  Pharaoh rather than Persian King Ahasuerus. The
  Egyptian Pharaoh tries to build the tower to
  heaven even though the Tower of Babel was built
  centuries earlier in Sumer, Mesopotamia (Sura
  2838).

• Allah is confused over Christian Trinity- Father,
  Son, and Mary (Sura 5116)!
• After reminding him of these favors, Allah will
  say "O Isa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), Did you
  ever say to the people, "worship me and my mother
  as gods beside Allah?" He will answer "Glory to
  You! How could I say what I had no right to say?
  If I had ever said so, you would have certainly
  known it. You know what is in my heart, but I
  know not what is in Yours for You have full
  knowledge of all the unseen. (Surah 5116,
  Al-Maida, F. Malik Translation)

  world in 6 or in 8 days (Sura 103 2559
  419-12).
• 6. Allah is confused as to whether he drowned
  Pharaoh and his army (Sura 17103), or saved
  Pharaoh after he repented (Sura 1088-92).
• 7. Allah has Hagar and Ishmael travel not to the
  Sinai from Canaan, but into an unbelievable 1,000
  mile trip through the Empty Quarter of the
  Arabian desert to Mecca!

Witnessing To Muslims

• Preach Christ Crucified And Resurrected
• Muslims claim Jesus was not crucified (Sura
  4157-158) This cannot be reconciled with the
  Bible (written by eyewitness) or Tacitus, Pliny
  the Younger, Josephus etc.
• Jesus Claimed To Be God
• Muslims are in a dilemma. They claim Jesus to be
  a prophet, but not God. This option is not
  available to them. He is either a false prophet
  because He claimed to be God and is not, or He is
  a true prophet who is, in fact, God. John 518
  729 856-58 1033 197.
• Defend The Trinity
• There is no contradiction in having one God in
  three persons (Remember the law of
  non-contradiction).

The 12th Imam What Is An Imam?

• According to Islamic belief, an Imam is an
  anointed leader or ruler. Especially among the
  Shia beliefs an Imam is thought (though not
  required), to be a prayer leader or cleric when
  the word is capitalized.
• Sunnis too believe an Imam may be a prophet
  Shiites believe not all prophets can be an Imam
  but an Imam can also be a prophet. An Imam is
  said to be anointed by Allah and a perfect
  example of leading mankind in every way. The
  Shiite interpretation is that only Allah can
  appoint an Imam and no man has the power to do
  so.
• The 12th Imam is said to be a descendent of the
  Prophet Muhammad, having divine status as did
  each of this succession of sons. The 12th Imam is
  also called the Hidden Imam and the Mahdi (guided
  one).

The 12th Imam Who Is The 12th Imam?

• Within the Shiite, (which is predominate in
  Iran), it is prophesied that there is a coming
  12th Imam who is the great spiritual savior.
• This Imam is named Abu al-Qasim Muhammad or also
  called Muhammad al Mahdi.
• He is said to have been born the son of the 11th
  Imam, Hasan Al-Askari and his wife, the
  granddaughter of an Emperor. There are
  conflicting statements of her name being either
  Fatima or Nargis Khatoon.

Who Is The 12th Imam?

• Most accounts of the story say that al Mahdi went
  into hiding as a child around the age of 5 years
  (about 13th Century).
• It said he has been in hiding in caves ever
  since but will supernaturally return just before
  the Day of Judgment.

According to the Hadith the criteria for the
Hidden Imam are

• He will be a descendant of Muhammad and the son
  of Fatima
• Will have a broad forehead and pointed nose
• Will return just before the end of the world
• His appearance will be preceded by a number of
  prophetic events during 3 years of horrendous
  world chaos, tyranny and oppression
• Will escape from Madina to Mekkah, thousands will
  pledge allegiance to him
• Will rule over the Arabs and the world for 7
  years
• Will eradicate all tyranny and oppression
  bringing harmony and total peace
• Will lead a prayer in Mekkah which Jesus will be
  at his side and follow

Who Is The 12th Imam?

• Remarkably, the 12th Imam theory plays heavily
  into the worlds current concerns with Iran.
• The Shiite Muslim President of Iran, Ahmadinejad,
  is deeply committed to the Islamic Messiah, al
  Mahdi.
• There have been many through the years claiming
  to be the Hidden Imam but Ahmadinejad believes he
  is yet to come.
• He claims that he is to personally prepare the
  world for the coming Mahdi. In order to save the
  world, it must be in a state of chaos and
  subjugation.
• Ahmadinejad claims he was directed by Allah to
  pave the way for the glorious appearance of the
  Mahdi. This apocalyptic directive includes some
  very scary proclamations.

Now?

• While Christians look for Jesus 2nd coming, the
  Jews await the Messiah and Muslims await the 12th
  Imam.
• However, of the three, Allahs designated Mahdi
  is the only one who demands a violent path to
  conquer the world.
• Mr. Ahmadinejad, and his cabinet, say they have a
  signed contract with al Mahdi in which they
  pledge themselves to his work.
• What does this work involve?
• In light of concerns over Irans nuclear
  capabilities, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly
  stated Israel should be wiped off the map.
• He spoke to the United Nations in September 05.
  During that speech he claims to have been in an
  aura of light and felt a change in the atmosphere
  during which time no one present could blink
  their eyes.
• Irans PM is also said to have spoken in
  apocalyptic terms and seems to relish conflict
  with the West whom he calls the Great Satan. This
  is while he proclaims he must prepare the world
  for the coming Mahdi by way of a world totally
  under Muslim control. He is working hard to bring
  about the world-wide horrors that must be in
  place for their al Mahdi to bring peace.

  beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
  and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and
  upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

  leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear,
  and his mouth as the mouth of a lion and the
  dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and
  great authority.
