SPC Responsibilities Expectations

• Represent the CMU communitys voice in strategic
  planning and future directions through ongoing
  dialogue
• Work in concert with existing processes and
  personnel to formulate future directions
• Identify, create and enable the critical
  subcommittees necessary for assessing the
  institutional level supports (I.e. budget,
  facilities, technology, etc.) required for
  successful implementation of the institutional
  priorities
• Assure that strategic planning happens in concert
  with budget planning
• Oversee the establishment of communication
  channels within the university community to keep
  them abreast of the committees work

• Champion and monitor the successful
  implementation of the universities institutional
  priorities and strategies
• Make recommendations relative to yearly
  initiatives to realize the plans strategies
• Continuously monitor progress toward attainment
  of the KPIs
• Review and update the plan on a yearly basis

• Faculty Association Bill will gather reaction
  for membership
• Communication Expert Add to committee Tom to
  identify representative
• Institutional Research? Critical to KPIs.
  Would be an essential resource, acting more in a
  sub-committee role. Catherine to pursue.
• Budget Add to committee George Ross to
  identify rep.
• Government Relations?- An essential resource,
  acting more like a sub-committee.
• Technology Who would be available? Who would
  commit the time and effort? Tom/Catherine to
  pursue.

  to get names assigned. Review actions to see if
  it will get us where we need to go. What is
  missing? Bring your notes and suggestions to the
  next meeting.
