Louis Pasteur(1822-1895)

• Louis Pasteur was the hero I chose. Louis
  Pasteur was born on December 27, 1822. He liked
  to write and paint when he was younger, but when
  he became a teenager he liked science a lot.
  Louis Pasteur went to school in Paris. There he
  met Jean Baptiste Dumas, a chemistry teacher.
  Louis liked Dumas.
• Louis became more excited about science in
  1847, Louis earned his doctor of science degree.
  He did many experiments. He found that heat
  could kill germs. Today, everyone uses heat to
  kill germs. This process is called
  pasteurization. Pasteur kept studying germ
  microbes. He also discovered a vaccine for
  rabies. There is the Pasteur Institute in Paris
  that is dedicated to fighting diseases today.
