Cell Size

• Most are small
• 50 human cells cover the dot in the letter i.
• A chicken Egg is an example of a very large cell.

Parts of a cell

• Cell membrane
• Surrounds and protects the cell
• Cytoplasm
• Liquid fills the cell and provides structure
• Organelles
• Carry out various life processes for the cell

Genetic Material

• All cells contain DNA
• DNA is passed from parent cells to new cells
• DNA carries instructions for cell activities

• Prokaryotic
• No nucleus
• Eukaryotic
• Contain a nucleus
