Mexico
  • Mexico is also called the United Mexican
States. It is bordered by the USA, Pacific Ocean,
Guatemala, Belize, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of
Mexico. It is also a federation comprising of
thirty-one federal districts. The election is
held July 15.The government is representative,
democratic, and republican based on the
    presidential system.

3
State government
  • The Mexican government has thirty-one free and
    sovereign states.
  • The constituent states MUST have some kind of
    republican government.
  • A governor is elected by first-past-the-post
    plurality.
  • All of the states there are independent and
    autonomous in their internal administration.
  • The states can not make alliances with other
    states or foreign power.

4
Municipal government
  • All of the states are divided up into
    municipalities.
  • Municipalities is the smallest autonomous
    political entity in Mexico.
  • It is governed by a municipal council, which is
headed by a mayor or municipal council.
  • After 1917, there are no intermediate entities
between municipalities and the state government.
  • Municipalities are responsible for the public
    services.

5
Political parties
  • All the political parties must be registered
before the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE).
  • The IFE is in charge of organizing/overseeing the
    federal electoral process.
  • To keep their registry, they must obtain 2 of
the votes in the federal election.
  • All registered parties receive public funding for
    all their operation.
  • Some of the political parties are Institutional
Revolutionary, National Action, New Alliance, and
    Labor

Conclusion
  • The Mexicans are precise and strict. Their
type of government goes works well with its
citizens. I have only covered some of the basic
types of government. In many ways, the Mexican
government has influenced the Americans way of
    government.
