The Importance of Coach Recruitment in a Nursery
  • The assistance of volunteers is necessary to
ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • It should primarily target the parents of
children currently playing in the nursery.
  • Current coaches are hugely beneficial in
    assisting new coaches.
  • Current adult players provide a link to older
teams and give young players a sense of
importance, as they are being coached by the
    clubs star players.

14
Ready to Play Book
  • This nursery book complements the Fun Do
resources which were launched in October 2007 and
will be an excellent tool to assist the nursery
committee and the new coaches who will run the
    programme.

15
The Next Step for your Club
  • You need to hold a Committee Meeting to discuss
    this evenings Agenda.
  • Decide if you wish to run the programme.
  • If YES
  • You need to establish a nursery committee.
  • You need to source new coaches for the nursery
    programme.
  • Get these coaches to the Fundamentals Workshop on
    February 13th in Warrenstown.
  • The Coaching Games Committee will then assist
your club to run the programme.
