Rules, Procedures and Behavior Expectations

Starting a class
  • Be on time with your materials such as agenda,
    pencil case, etc.
  • Make a single straight line for entering.
  • Enter only when the teacher indicates. If your
    teacher is not in the room or the previous class
    is still there, you are not allowed to enter.
  • Walk into the classroom quietly without food and
    drinks.
  • Take the seat quietly that your teacher assigns
    for you and wait for instructions.
  • Tardies Penalties 1st time in class detention
    for 15 min, 3rd time you will receive a
    discipline form.

Routines in the classroom
  • Listen for the teachers instructions seated
    properly in your desk.
  • When the teacher indicates, take your place in
    assigned computer.
  • Log on to your computer.
  • Stay on task.
  • To be prepared for dismissal teacher will turn
    off lights so you must save your files and
    prepare to leave the classroom, log off.
  • Put your chair in place.
  • Leave the classroom in silence.

  • Maintaining students account
  • Save your work in your folder with the filename
    given by the teacher.
  • Each student must maintain their folder organized
    and clean. Make subfolders to organize your
    files and delete the unused files regularly.
  • Going to the nurse, bathroom, office, and
    library
  • Ask the teacher permission and take the pass.

Asking For Help
  • IF YOU ARE AT YOUR DESK
  • Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak
    during the class period.
  • IF YOU ARE WORKING ON THE COMPUTER
  • First time Read instructions carefully from the
    board or as posted in ATS webpage into the
    teacher assignments.
  • Second time Staying in your place, ask a student
    beside you.
  • Third time Wait for the teacher for an
    individual explanation by raising your hand
    silently.

Assessment
  • Class work 60
  • Projects 30
  • Homework/Quizzes 10
  • Students will use a checklist given by the
    teacher at the beginning of each assignment to
    assess their own work. It will be written
    according with the expectations of the activity.
  • A progress report will be sent to the parents for
    special cases.

Behavior Expectations
  • Be courteous and respect all the technology class
    procedures.
  • Practice the technology policy.

If you choose to break a rule
  • First time Name on board as a warning.
  • Second time Time off computer.
  • Third time A stamp will be posted on your agenda
    to be signed by your parents.

Student's grade will be affected when
  • The student does not make up his assignments.
  • In case of absences, it is the student's
    responsibility to arrange with the teacher when
    make up the work be due.
  • Does not follow the students' handbook, in case
    of cheating both parties (cheater and cheatee)
    involved in a cheating incident will receive a
    zero.
  • The technology policy is not followed it may
    result in immediate suspension or expulsion.
