The Nile River

• The longest river in the world.
• Egyptians use the river for everyday life.
• They probably wouldnt be able to survive without
  it.

• Was a very hot desert land.
• The Mediterranean Sea was to the north of Egypt.
• Had miles and miles of sand.

Social Classes

• Had many different classes.
• Most common class was farmers/slaves
• Lower Class Farmers/slaves
• Second Class Craftsmen
• Third Class Scribes
• Fourth Class Priests
• Fifth Class Pharaohs

Anubis

• He was the watcher of the dead.
• Anubis was the guard of the afterlife.
• He would weigh your heart on a scale and if your
  was heart was heavier than a feather, it meant
  you were guilty.
• If you were guilty you werent allowed in the
  afterlife.

• Was the most important god.
• Was the lord of all gods.
• Had a falcon head and a human body.
• His crown had the sun disc encircled by the
  sacred cobra.

• Was 10 years old when he became a pharaoh.
• Was 18 when he died.
• He was buried with his stillborn daughters.

• Was the first female pharaoh in Egypt.
• Acted like how a male pharaoh would.
• Was eventually out ruled by her step-son.

• Rosetta Stone We may not use it today, but it
  helped us learn different languages.
• Embalming process Now-a-days we embalm people in
  different ways, but we still use some parts of it
  for funerals.
