Character Education
2To educate a person in mind and not in morals is

The long term process of helping young
people develop good character, i.e. knowing,
caring about, and acting upon core ethical values
such as honesty, compassion, responsibility, and
others.
The Character Education Partnership (CEP)
4The family is the most important place for
character and moral education, but the public
schools are partners with the family. We share as
public school educators the responsibility to
reinforce the shaping of moral behavior that
families are trying to encourage.
