Ethos of an Interpreter

• MultiLink Interpreting Services is now offering a
  4 day seminar for all interpreters, language
  support service workers and all organisations /
  departments utilising interpreting services, on
  the topic of Ethos of an Interpreter. Everyone is
  welcome to attend the sessions dated below. The
  cost applied to each sessions is 10.00 or all
  together 40.00.
• The seminar will be conducted by NAATI Level 3
  Professional Interpreter Mrs Zdenka Gajinov,
  highly recognised for her involvement within
  NAATI, AUSIT and Southbank Institute of TAFE in
  professional development of interpreters. Mrs
  Gajinov will cover and discuss the following
  areas
• Understanding and implementation of AUSIT Code of
  Ethics
• Social awareness of both societies
• Knowledge of English language
• Knowledge of LOTE (Language Other Than English)
• Good and fast working connection between English
  and LOTE
• General knowledge and education, specially in
  topics of
• Medicine and Mental Health
• Law Immigration
• Memory retention and note-taking skills.

• Mr Fazil Rostam, District Multicultural Health
  Coordinator,
• Ms Dulcinea Hernandez, Manager MultiLink
  Settlement Services Community
  Engagement Advocacy and Development Services,
• complimented by visits from medical and legal
  officers, in order to gain feedback on the issues
  and demands in these areas, yet relating to
  interpreting industry.
