A reinforced earth retaining wall is to be 8 m
high. The properties of the backfill material are
g 16.6 kN/m3 and f 30o. Galvanized steel ties
are to be used for the construction of the wall.
Design the Reinforcements with FS(B) 3, FS(p)
3, fy 2.4x105 kN/m2 and f 20o. The properties
of the in situ soil below the retaining wall are
g 18 kN/m3, f 30o, and c 52 kN/m2.
