Status of Response to Call for Expression of
Interest (EoI)

• Call for Expression of Interest to participate in
  the construction of FAIR is a
• big success
• The FAIR accelerator complex will be built
• by the leading experts of the FAIR countries!
• Something money cannot buy!
• Missing EoIs from France, Greece, Slowenia, UK
• Missing MoU countries most urgently invited to
  follow up the call, since we need to advance at
  the ISC meeting on February 18th, upon
  recommendations of IKAB on January 8th
• Certain overlap of interests require creation of
  accelerator consortia, e.g. p-Linac, NESR,
  Super-FRS etc..
• Next steps .....

• Detailing of EoIs in upcoming meeting and
  weeks, especially identification of persons in
  charge, better specification of items,
  collaborations.......active collaboration with
  international FAIR partners ? strengthening the
  FAIR project and the FAIR JCT by detaching
  people to Darmstadt.
• Preparation of Technical Design Reports
• Setting up of Machine Advisory Committee
• Drafting of contracts where possible
