NASB Characteristics

• Each verse is its own paragraph
• OT quotes in the NT are in small capitals
• Real paragraphs are indicated by bold verse
  number and text
• KJV pronouns retained for prayer
• Capitalized personal pronouns that refer to Deity
• Uses the Lord vice Jehovah

• Use of italics is inconsistent
• Use of archaic pronouns is inconsistent
• Not consistent in capitalizing pronouns referring
  to Deity
• Faithfulness to the original language means less
  readable English
• Not contemporary English
