    received one of the best joint area review
    reports in the country.

A National Issue
  • Childrens Society suggest that depression
    symptoms could be a problem for a large number of
    teenagers with more than a quarter of those
    questioned saying that they frequently felt
    depressed. (BBC News Website 24.04.08)
  • Bob Reitemeier of the Childrens Society said
  • There is a growing recognition of the true cost
    of neglecting childrens mental health and
    well-being.

A National Issue
  • Seven out of ten young people said in a Newsround
    survey that they felt the need to look good,
    and were on a diet some or al of the time and
    many said that they felt under pressure from
    school, peers and family.
  • The report called for support for parents, which
    it described as crucial.
