water Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill
came tumbling after
Clue 1 a is a Popcorn word. What do you
think it is? Clue 2 Use Clue 1 to help you
look at other words? and is also a Popcorn
word. Clue 3 Jill and hill are rhyming
words. What do you notice about them? Clue 4
This is a familiar rhyme. Clue 5 Jack and
Jill are brother and sister.
Their names begin with the same letter.
3What did we do to "unlock the code" of the
Confusabet? Looked for familiar words. Noticed
words that had the same letters (rhyming words,
words that started with the same
letter). Reread...reread...reread... Used
context (familiar rhyme) If this was not a
familiar rhyme, how would clues 1-5 help you to
figure out other words?
