What Is The Issue?
  • Companies try to save money by using slave labour
    to make products at a low cost (because they do
    not pay the workers much).

Where is slave labour used?
  • Clothing company Gap have admitted terrible
    working conditions in their factories in Mexico,
    China, Russia and India. In these factories
    children were forced to work, every worker was
    treated like a slave and forced to work more than
    80 hours a week.

Where is slave labour used?
  • Many companies use factories with terrible
    conditions (called sweatshops) including in
    China to try to produce things cheaply. Other
    companies using sweatshops include Nike, Adidas,
    Tommy Hilfiger, Umbro and Fila.
