Always use MLA Advanced
Name your project
9
Create List for Project
  • Create a new list for each project, NOT each
    source.
  • All your sources for one research project will be
    on ONE list.

10
Start Your List
  • Drop the menu to find the type of information
    source you are using.
  • Select source
  • I selected a magazine source

11
Add Citations
  • My research paper is on stem cell research.
  • This is an article I found in the EBSCO database
    (remember to choose MAS Ultra)

12
What Information Will I Need?
Article Title
Author
Source, (Magazine) Date,Page etc.
13
Persistent Link EBSCO is the only database that
we have that provides a persistent link
  • The Persistent Link allows your reader to access
your article directly. In other words, they do
not have to navigate the database to read the
    article you cite.

Find the Persistent Link

SIRS and Opposing Viewpoints OR any chapter
source that is part of a book.
The italics tell you that this is one view-point
in a BOOK called At Issue The Ethics of Human
Clon-ing. You would be citing part of a book
(like a chapter) with an editor of Woodward and
author of Barglow.
  • Source Citation
