• Today we will

• Your activities must connect to the curriculum.
• Technology is used to enhance the curriculum, not
  replace it.
• The students must be able to apply their
  technology skills to their knowledge of the
  content.

Kid Pix Slide Shows-A Presentation Tool for
Students and Teachers
Remembertechnology must be connected to the
curriculum. A slide show can be used for writing
to inform, writing for personal expression,
science lab discussions and many other content
areas.

Preplanning

• Students should know what they want to put on
  their slide show.
• Complete a storyboard worksheet for the show.
• Edit slides before you save them.

Steps To Create A Slide

• Create and save each slide with a different name.
  Save on a disk.
• Take a few minutes now to create a practice slide
  as a title page for a presentation on endangered
  animals and save it on your disk. Call it Title1.
• Be sure to be in the A drive when you click save.

ready to save your picture (slide).

Steps to Creating A Show

• Return to Picker and click on Make A Slide Show.
• Each truck contains one slide.
• Click the square button to add your slide.
• Click the next button to insert sounds.
• Click the last button to insert your transition.
• Adjust the scroll bar to set the time on the
  slide.
• Create a show now using your slide and the slides
  already on your disk.

Saving Your Show

• Once your show is completed save it to your disk.
• Use a new name.
• Be sure to save it in the A drive when you do.
• Please save your show now. Call it animals.
