TDA works with the DCSF to ensure
  • High quality teaching and learning in every
    classroom, by securing a sufficient supply of new
    teachers and effective continuing professional
    development
  • Ongoing workforce reform in schools to secure
    effective staff deployment that addresses local
    needs so teachers, schools and children realise
    the benefits
  • Closer cooperation and integration of schools and
    childrens services to meet the needs of children
    and families 
  • Support for the development and roll out of
    extended schools

    technology, engineering and maths teachers
  • Leading on the development of a new qualification
    for teachers the masters in teaching and
    learning
  • Supporting special educational needs and
    disability training for the workforce
  • Providing training and development opportunities
    to support staff
  • Supporting the implementation of the national
    agreement
