Volcanoes Are Deadly
  • By Griselda Bustamante

2
Deadly Eruptions
  • In an instant, an explosion from a volcano can
occur spurting lava 100s of feet into the air
(as seen here). The intense heat from a
volcanoes lava will melt anything in its path.

3
Streams of Destruction
  • Lava can flow for miles into unsuspecting
villages and towns causing mass destruction. The
gases from a volcano can kill hundreds and
thousands of people and animals within minutes.

4
Pressurized Gases
  • Because some kinds of lava are thin and runny,
the expanding gases will cause the lava to gush
out of the vent like a geyser. Molten lava will
spray upward hundreds of feet into the air.

5
Volcanic intensity
A volcanic eruption, like any other of natures
magical wonders, is an awesome display of the
real power that the Earth contains. The
intensity of a volcanic eruption is one of the
most powerful and magnificent scenes to be
captured.
6
Ashes of Death
According to Bunce, blackened skies and fiery
sunsets are often seen immediately after an
eruption. They are caused from the dust of the
volcano and can be seen far away from the
original blast. (Bunce pg.22)
7
Acid Rain
  • Acid rain causes dramatic earth erosion and it is
harmful to humans if it comes in direct contact
with the skin and can cause severe irritation.
    Prolonged exposure can be deadly.
