10HOW THE AUTHOR FEEL ABOUT ESPERANZAS LIFE
- I think the author feels bad for Esperanza,
because her house gets burnt down, her papa dies
and she has to get away from her uncle that wants
to marry her mamma. So they move to America were
they can be free, but they have to work hard to
get money. Then mamma gets sick and Esperanza has
to work 3 times as hard to pay hospital bills.
Mamma ends up being ok and I am sure that the
author is happy after that. Then finally
Esperanzas grandmother get to come from Mexico
and stay with them.
