13Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC)
- Polar has modern Roll-to-Roll automatic printing
facility to print conductive traces on
substrates. - Our FPCs are used to monitor temperature and
voltage for EV battery packs. In place of
conventional wire harness, flex offers a lighter
solution taking up less space and potentially
for distribution of control electronics onto a
smart harness.

20Biomedical Sensors
Working Principle
- Glucometer strip electrodes are crucial
components for blood glucose monitoring. - They function by measuring the electrical
conductivity of a blood sample. - When a blood droplet is applied to the test
strip, glucose reacts with an enzyme on the
strip. - This reaction generates an electrical current.
- The glucometer measures this current.
- The glucometer then converts the current reading
into a blood glucose concentration. - These electrodes ensure accurate and reliable
blood glucose measurements, a critical feature of
