Title: The Private Power Infrastructure Board
1The Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB) has
approved the name of law firm M/s Howard Kennedy
for representing the government of Pakistan in
LCIA Arbitration in M/s Star Hydropower Limited
(SHPL) case As of late, MD PPIB, Shah Jahan
Mirza advised the Board that Star Hydro Power
Restricted (SHPL) and NTDC went into
disagreement regarding defer in establishment of
Power Buyer between Association Office by
NTDC. The two players recorded counter arbitral
cases against one another before LCIA, wherein
NTDCs case was excused and it was tracked down
in break of terms of PPA in making installment of
exchanged harms. From there on, SHPL documented
case under the watchful eye of Lahore High Court
for implementation of the Honor, though NTDC as
a counter procedure tested the Honor in Common
Court Lahore and the two cases are forthcoming
under the steady gaze of the particular
Courts. In the meantime, SHPL raised interest
for installment of Grant from NTDC and CPPA-G,
which was dismissed by CPPA-G. Thusly, SHPL
served request notice upon PPIB under segment 1
.5.1 of Assurance, which was dismissed by PPIB
on grounds that it was illogical under the
relevant laws of Pakistan
