They say breakfast is one of the most important
and essential meals of the day and with good
reason. You finally break your night long fast
with this meal and it is important for your body
and even mind to load up on essential nutrients
that will see you through the long day, or at
least until you are ready for lunchtime. Here are
some ways in which you can improve the quality of
your breakfast.

Cut down the fried stuff
As Indians, we love gorging on fried foods for
breakfast. Everything from samosas to vadas are
fried and hence very bad for your health. At
least the first meal of the day should be devoid
of oily foods and should not be fried. Try to
make your breakfast a tad bit more delicious in
other ways without resorting to fried, unhealthy,
or oily snacks and products that can potentially
damage your body.

Watch your caffeine intake
Most people cannot live without tea or coffee for
breakfast and usually start their day with these
stimulants. As much as possible, try to replace
them with other healthier options and
alternatives. For instance, fruit juices are a
great way to start the day as long as they dont
have additional sweeteners in them. Similarly,
you can even opt to have some healthy muesli with
milk and some fruits as well.

Superfoods are not only good for your body in a
variety of ways but they are also usually
delicious and fun to have. A healthy granola bar
for instance usually comes loaded with essential
superfoods that give your body the complete
nutritional balance it needs to seize the day.
Search for varied alternatives online and offline
and find a brand that works for you and is also
delicious to have. After all, breakfast should be
a meal that you eagerly look forward to every
morning.
