Born and raised on Long Island, Derek Schuelein
completed his bachelor's from Pennsylvania State
University. He later completed his master's from
C.U.N.Y. Lehman College in Social Studies
Education and his Ed.D. from Manhattanville
College with a "Distinguished Dissertation Award."

After his education, Derek Schuelein started
working as a high school educator by serving as
an assistant principal at Jane Addams CTE High
School and then becoming a principal of Rye High
School, New York, handling responsibilities and
performing them to the best of his abilities.

Derek Schuelein has different professional
associations as well, including the Association
for Supervision and Curriculum Development
(ASCD), National Association of Secondary School
Principals (NASSP), National Association for
College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) and New
York State School Counselor Association (NYSSCA).

Apart from the educational experience, Derek
Schuelein loves spending time with his family. He
ensures to keep the house up and running by
handling most of the projects for the home.

Derek Schuelein, along with his family, loves
doing all the chores around the house. As part of
his quarantine project, he built a treehouse for
his kids.
