Derek Schuelein entered the education sector
bachelor's from Pennsylvania State University, a
master's in C.U.N.Y. Lehman College in Social
Studies education and Ed.D. from the
Manhattanville College in Educational Leadership.

Derek Schueleins first job was being the Social
Studies Teacher, and Assistant Principal for
Pupil Personnel Services from 2008-to 2011, at
the Jane Addams CTE High School in New York. He
later moved to different schools and kept getting
better jobs when he finally became a Principal at
the Rye High School.

One of the reasons Derek Schuelein went into the
education sector, especially school, is because
he enjoys working with children of that age
group. He and his wife also served as host
parents for Chinese exchange students for many
years and is also in touch with most of them
because he adores them as their daughters.

Derek Schuelein is equally active in his private
life as his professional life. He loves skiing
and loves taking his children learning skiing on
the same mountain that he learned it on. He also
likes playing bridge. He also loves staying
outdoors.

Derek Schuelein also enjoys reading about the
financial markets, and reading about different
instructional practices and keeping up on the
professional literature in education is one of
his favourite hobbies.
