Title: Can We Take Protein After Cardio

1
Can We Take Protein After Cardio
  • You can take protein some time after cardio.
There are different types of protein supplements
whey protein (made from milk), soy protein, pea
protein, quinoa protein, rice protein, etc. If
you are lactose intolerant, then you can avoid
whey protein. If you are allergic to soy, then
avoid soy-based proteins. Some products contain
soy as emulsifier as well. Plant-based protein is
also available in the market these days.

  • When you workout, your body burns calories and
your muscles need protein to repair themselves.
This is where protein (either natural or
supplements) come in. You can take a protein
shake sometime after your workout to regain the
muscle strength and build muscle. Your diet is
also important. Dont rely only on supplements as
there is only so much they can help. Do have a
healthy meal filled with natural protein sources
like Dal, veges, etc. Each persons protein
requirement also differs based on their age,
weight, activity, diet, etc. Instead of following
something you read online, always check with your
nutritionist about how much supplement to take
daily (scoops, etc.) some people take protein
supplements with water while others take with
    milk.

  • There are plenty of whey protein supplements,
either pure isolate or a mix of two or more of
them. If you go with isolate, it will be more
expensive than concentrate but you will be taking
more protein per scoop. Hydrolysate is absorbed
rapidly into the body and since it goes through a
lot of processing to reach the pure state, it is
    more costly.
