- A long-term programme including a community
platform and a milestone event for current and
future energy leaders to engage in a
trans-generational debate on the issues,
challenges and opportunities of tomorrow, for the
industry - An intense 3-day event in November 2009 in Paris,
France - Gathering 1 000 current and future young energy
professionals, experts, and academics from around
the world

- Grow understanding of the sector
- Facilitate a debate over key industry issues
between current and future leaders - Enhance the image and appeal of the energy
industry to attract and retain tomorrows talent - Promote the broad range of career paths
- Transform the participants into ambassadors for
the sector

including the "energisemynetwork" online
participative tool - To reach and recruit target audiences
- To develop a genuine network of concerned
professionals across the world which will persist
after the event - To begin sharing ideas and information, launching
new debates, and building the event programme - To instill a sense of momentum right up to the
event

- New style plenaries using Interactive tools and
state-of-the-art technologies - Worldwide discussion through web-based tools,
SMS - Real time surveys to gather peoples reactions

representatives, and industry leaders and
influencers - Coaching workshops for students and young
professionals to understand their skill base
better and link it to opportunities within the
industry

visits to industrial sites to build understanding
of expectations - etc..
11Where We Stand Today
- The "Energise Your Future" programme was
successfully launched at the 19th WPC Congress in
Madrid this summer - The Executive Committee and Programme Committee
are operational, with representatives from host
sponsors, and the WPC and French National
Committees - Three host sponsors are secured GDF SUEZ,
Schlumberger, and Total. Outreach to others
sponsors is on-going. - The venue is booked

- New interactive and participative tools are now
live - A website with a revised visual identity,
- SharePoint, a participative working tool
- And soon, a community platform
"energiseyournetwork" - An agency with expertise in international
coordination, career management and event
management has been selected to bring the
programme to life - Work on the programme is underway

- Secure remaining sponsors
- Continue to drive commitment of young
professionals - Develop programme content
- Ensure effective roll-out of participative tools
and bring life to website
