IntroducingOffice-in-a-box

• A telephony server tailored specifically for the
  small office. The first full function private
  branch exchange (PBX) telephone system
  specifically designed to facilitate next
  generation PBX features communication services
  directly to the users' desktop.
• The Office in a box supports small companies with
  everything needed for out of the box operation
  for up to 12 extensions. As the Office in a box
  is based on the company's data network, it's
  simple to add, move or change users - with a
  maximum of up to 48 extensions. The Office in a
  box is primarily designed to become the basis of
  the office's new data infrastructure.

• Consisting of a commercial grade office server
  running the iPBX Server Software - optimised to
  meet the needs of the small office customer.
• Regular PSTN phones can be used with all regular
  PSTN functions being supported, including Message
  waiting indicator, Caller ID, Transfer,
  Conference and many more. Alternatively, IP
  phones can be used to enable the more advanced
  features at the users' desktop.

• The Office in a box is able to place and receive
  local and long distance calls via a convenient
  PSTN gateway located at the office. Interoffice
  telecommuter calls can be carried directly via a
  Virtual Private Network or directly across the
  Internet.
• The Office in a box removes the complexity out of
  setting up an office. Pre-configured for out of
  the box operation is Internet access, an
  enterprise Firewall and a DHCP/NAT/DNS/SMTP
  server for data networking. In short everything
  necessary to set-up an office - but without the
  associated headaches and frustration.

Wireless IP

• The JAP Telecom Wireless Solution is inherently
  flexible and has been architected to grow and
  adapt to changing network requirements.
• It supports load balancing between Access Ports,
  pre-emptive roaming, clear-channel detection, and
  other mobile performance features
• In addition to the support for multiple radio
  technologies (802.11a/b/g), the solution also
  provides service classification, QoS (IEEE
  802.1p), service fairness, VLAN support (IEEE
  802.1q), IP ToS, layer 2 and layer 3 filtering,
  DHCP, NAT, Mobile IP, and more.

Wireless IP Security

• The JAP Telecom Wireless IP solution supports the
  802.11 Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) standard at
  64 and 128 bits. Allowing full interoperability
  with legacy clients or less-critical environments
  where only basic over-the-air security is
  required, such as an open public-access
  application.
• KeyGuard is an implementation of the Temporal Key
  Integrity Protocol (TKIP) also called SSN, which
  is based on draft 802.11i with enhancements for
  mobility. TKIP is the industry's response to WEP
  vulnerabilities. It rotates the keys and adds MIC
  (Message Integrity Check to address replay
  attacks).

• Authentication is critical in todays networks
  for the management of who (and what devices) get
  access to a network. Kerberos, the Extensible
  Authentication Protocol/Transport Layer Security
  (EAP/TLS), 802.1x, and RADIUS are supported in
  the JAP Telecom Wireless IP Solution.
• VPNs are critical and security in both the wired
  and wireless environments are pivotal in a
  successful deployment. AirBEAM Safe is a
  complete, end-to-end VPN solution with advanced
  management features. It provides VPN security for
  authentication encryption and data integrity and
  has been incorporated into the JAP Telecom
  portfolio.

Mobile Overide

• If the cellular operator gives inclusive free
  minutes in the Call Plan, then even greater
  savings can be made, by using them to call the
  access number.
• To make a call, dial the access code and follow
  the voice prompt.
• Alternatively, programme the phone to call access
  number direct. Simply save the access code in
  the Phone or SIM Memory.
