Exclusive band procedure

• Consult affected administrations
• Distances from the stations to the nearest points
  of the boundaries
• Provide proposed technical characteristics so
  that affected administration can assess the
  probability of harmful interference
• Affected administrations to reply within ten
  weeks
• If not, notifying administration will send a
  reminder

Exclusive bands (2)

• Affected administrations to reply within two (2)
  weeks
• If not, considered to have agreed to the proposed
  change
• No agreement is reached, BR may be requested to
  make technical examination and inform
  administrations of the results

Exclusive bands (3)

• Modifications without consulting if
• Reduction in power or changes that would reduce
  the probability of harmful interference
• OR
• Distances to nearest points of the boundaries are
  equal or greater than the coordination distance
  limits

• Notifying administration informs BR
• Proposed modifications
• Names of administrations consulted, where
  appropriate.
• BR publishes in Part B of a Special Section

Shared band procedure

• Exclusive bands BUT no coordination distances in
  Appendix 1 of Agreement
• Notifying administration informs BR of technical
  information
• BR publishes in Part A of a Special Section
• Comment period 12 weeks
• Comment should be sent DIRECTLY to notifying
  administration
• NO COMMENT AGREEMENT

Shared band (2)

• Notifying administration informs BR if no comment
  received at the end of 12 weeks or agreement
  reached
• Must Request publication in Part B for recording
  into the ST61 Plan (TB3 notice)

• T01 for sound broadcasting
• T02 for television
• TB3 Request for Part B
• TB2 MIFR notification with identical
  characteristics
• TB5 Suppress/Withdraw
