    co-operation activities of the past, this policy
    will be taken forward via country and/or regional
    strategic action plans.
  • Foresight co-operation could play an important
    strategic role in making this policy a success,
    in giving strategic orientation to all measures

  • Developing (Regional, RTDI, etc.) policies is
    based on (implicit or explicit) visions of the
    future of science, technology, and society as a
    whole
  • Co-operation in developing this visions,
    delivering strategic knowledge to all actors
    involved and affected, will contribute
    naturally to the open co-ordination necessary
    for moving towards a European Research Area, and
    for achieving the Lisbon goals.
