• Depart approx. 830am from SDCCS via charter bus
• Visit Mission San Diego (Guided Tour)
• Visit Old Town (Living History Program)
• Lunch on San Diego Harbor Cruise
• Visit Birch Aquarium for Science Lab
• Arrive at SDCCS at approx. 530 p.m.
• Tuesday, May 19, 2009
• Depart approx. 830am from SDCCS via parent
  drivers/cars
• Arrive at Julian Mining Company at 10 a.m. for
  Native American Workshop including the following
  activities
• Grind Acorns
• Shoot a Bow Arrow
• Make a Clay Pinch Pot
• Trapper's Trading Post

• Morning nature hike at Heise Park
• Back to Julian Mining Company by 10 a.m. for a
  Gold Rush Program including the following
  activities
• Pan for Gold
• Use Gold Rockers
• Work the Sluice Box
• Care for Miner's Animals
• Chuckwagon Cooking
• Letter's Home w/ Quill and Ink
• Gold Rush Supply Demand
• Claim Staking Assaying
• Square Dance
• Tomahawk Throw
• Log Cabin Building
• Drive back to SDCCS via parent cars by approx.
  530 p.m.

Costs

• Student Costs
• 195 for all four days
• 75 deposit due by Friday, October 31st
• Balance due by April 16th
• Partial attendance/pro-rated costs are not

• Chaperone Costs

• -Tuesday-Wednesday only (must do both days)

• Chaperones will be billed in November

Financial Assistance

• You will receive an Extended Field Trip
  Information Form tonight. If you wish to apply
  for financial assistance, you may do so by
  filling out the bottom portion of the form. All
  information will be kept confidential and you
  will be notified of the decision by November 17th
  .

Extended Field Trip Timeline

• October 20 Informational Meeting
• October 31 Deadline for first deposit of 75
  (15 if applying for financial assistance),
  intent to participate form/financial assistance
  application
• November 17 Financial assistance response
• March 19 Meeting for updated info and
  distribution of paper work (permission slips,
  medical forms, etc.)
• April 16 Final balance and paper work due.
  Overnight chaperone requirements and field trip
  driver requirements must be completed and
  submitted by this date.
• May 18 Bon Voyage!
