11Membership Commitment
Believing that Christ died to save His people, I
acknowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord, and
commit myself to this body of believers. By
becoming a member of this church, I willingly
submit to God, the scriptures, this body, and its
leaders, to hold me accountable for my faith,
doctrine and personal life. Should I ever deviate
from scripture, I expect the church to lovingly,
yet firmly, call me to return to those ways which
honor our Heavenly Father.
12Membership Commitment
I agree to study Gods Word, and model Christ in
my home, work, and community. I endeavor to give
a set portion of my income, speak with others
about Christ, protect my home as a place of
dwelling for Gods Spirit, pray for others, and
use my abilities and resources to serve others. I
will at all times strive to maintain unity with
my other brothers and sisters in the faith. I
will do these things out of obedience to God who
paid the full price of my redemption through the
death of His Son. To Him be the Glory!

e. New Missionary Proposal Proposal The Global
Outreach Advisory Council recommends that the
congregation recognize Aaron and Michelle Larsen
as LEFC missionaries to the Democratic Republic
of Congo where they will be working with Touch
Global (EFCA) and CECU, the Congolese Evangelical
Free church in the Elikya project near the city
of Gemena. Upon approval, we will offer a
onetime gift and prayer support for the next two
years, with the possibility of monthly financial
support, should more funds become available.
Renewal will be offered (without additional
congregational approval) upon a favorable
recommendation from the Director of Mobilization.
The Free Church has been ministering in Congo
for over 50 years and the vision for the Elikya
project is about 13 years old. Elikya is in the
process of becoming a vocational training center
for the disabled, widowed and unwed mothers
(people who receive little or no help in the war
torn country). Some are learning construction
skills as they build the center. A number of
other skills will be taught as well. The hope is
that teams from American churches and
universities will initially come to teach some of
the skills until local believers can take over as
teachers. The Larsens will be helping to
facilitate the adjustment and work of these teams
for two years. Aaron actually helped his
mother clear land for the project when he was a
boy and their family served as missionaries
there. He is able to speak limited Lingala
which is the language in Gemena. Michelle also
grew up on the mission fields of Taiwan and the
Philippines. Both Aaron and Michelle are college
grads and have received training in anticipation
of ministering overseas, he in agriculture and
she in outdoor and wilderness education (which
should come in handy as they build a house and
learn to live without electricity and running
water). He currently works in Lancaster County
with agriculture and conservation issues, and she
teaches budgeting and life skills to mostly
single moms at Tabor Community Center. They
seem well suited for ministry at the Elikya
project, and are open to the Lords leading after
their time there.

295. Ministry ReportsElder Congregational Report,
May 2009
- Gather
- The elders provided oversight of the worship
service - We decided at the elder retreat that the
definition for gather should be broader to
include fellowship, and we will be encouraging
more fellowship opportunities. Specifically we
decided to bring back the harvest party. - Doug started his series on marriage. We grieve
greatly over marriages in our congregation that
have broken up in the last several months. - Grow
- We rejoice that the small group ministry is
growing in numbers involved as well as
effectiveness. We also have continued to
encourage more broad participation in small
groups. - Oversaw another new member class.
- We discussed the needs for space, and supported
the need for a feasibility study and moving
forward on Phase I of building plan to provide
for the most pressing space needs. - We committed to a comprehensive teaching cycle
for the congregation on decreasing debt,
decreasing materialism and increasing giving to
God. - Reviewed the discipleship survey results and
reiterated our commitment to helping our entire
congregation to grow as disciples. - Worked through Stan Tysons resignation and the
issues in childrens education including
difficulty with recruiting and retaining
teachers, and implemented changes to the staffing
of education to include several part time people
rather than getting a new full time person. - Go
- Small groups continue to be encouraged to
witness. - Elders are involved in evangelism in the local
community, other places in the country and short
term trips in the rest of the world. - Ways to increase mentoring and teaching children
and youth were explored. The church will be
encouraged to take up that challenge. ABFs will
be particularly exhorted to take responsibility
for particular age group or groups of children to
provide greater accountability and continuity. - Respectfully submitted,
- Chip Mershon on behalf of the Elders

Report, May 2009
"These were all commended for their faith, yet
none of them received what had been promised.
God had planned something better for us so that
only together with us would they be made
perfect." Hebrews 1139-40 On nearly any
long trip in a car, children are known for asking
the age old question, "Are we there, yet?" In
like manner we tend to wonder the same thing as
we travel through life. When will we have
arrived? When will all of our desires be
fulfilled? When will we be able to feel some
satisfaction with our life? Or in the case of
this church When will we feel like we are where
we have needed to be? And the answer? "We're
not there yet. We'll let you know when we get
there!" So while the church makes its plans,
and we all personally make our own individual
plans, Hebrews 1140 reminds us that "God (also)
had planned..." and what He planned was even
"better for us." This evening's meeting will
include not only many reports but also some
future plans. I know the building committee has
been eager to share with you their plans. But in
the end (I feel like I've been preaching this
point for over twenty years. Indeed, I have been
preaching this point for over twenty years!)...in
the end...regardless of the plans, the bigger
goal, the bigger purpose, the bigger vision is to
be able to say, "Jesus led us all the way."
Let's plan. Let's dream. Let's vision together.
But in the end may we understand that God has
"planned something better for us." I am often in
a place to compare LEFC with other churches,
LEFC's staff with other church's staffs, LEFC's
facilities with other church's facilities and so
forth. Consistently I walk away impressed with
how God has blessed us. We haven't arrived yet
but I believe God is leading us. We're glad to
have Ted Webb on board. He comes with a great
spirit and attitude. I've been asked to serve
again as president of the Warwick Ministerium and
am planning to do so. As always it is a
pleasure to serve you. The physical
mishaps/challenges of this past year have been a
reminder to me to not take the future for
granted. But as a great preacher said some years
ago, "Until God calls me home, I figure I'm
immortal. Only He has numbered my days!" So in
the words of John Wesley, I want to wear out, not
rust out. With love from the anxious back seat
of God's great car, Doug

Congregational Report, May 2009
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all
of my prayers for all of you I always pray with
joy because of your partnership in the gospel . .
. Phil. 13 To my dear Sisters and Brothers in
the Lord, I have a somewhat unique
opportunity to be involved in most of the
doings of the church. To say it another way,
somebody on this ranch needs to know whats going
on in the north 40 and the south 40 and
everywhere else at the same time. As an elder,
Executive Pastor and fifteen year member of LEFC,
my perspective, then, would be unique because it
is probably more circumspect than most. And what
do I see when I look out over the ranch? I see
the hand of God all over its people and its
programs. I see many changed lives, evidence of
Gods goodness, faithfulness, and of His power to
ultimately change the human heart. From children
through teens and on to adults, I see walking
miracles when I look down the halls on a Sunday
morning. I see redeemed and grateful people
singing His praises with great energy and
enthusiasm, happy to be worshipping with each
other in His House of Praise and Worship. And I
see devoted volunteers serving Him by pouring
their lives into the children of the church,
knowing that they are the future of the Kingdom,
the ones who will carry the message into the
coming generations. I see my brothers and
sisters devoting their time and money to
something far bigger than themselves for the sake
of reaching people near and far with the saving
knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I
see the Word of God being preached faithfully
Sunday after Sunday. I see young mothers and
fathers working hard to raise their children to
be followers of Jesus, while balancing jobs,
kids sports schedules, family demands and the
churchs constant need for volunteers. And I see
young singles and married couples taking the
compassion of Christ into the culture to reach
those who want nothing to do with the church.
And I am highly encouraged by the many people at
LEFC whom I see involving their lives in the
lives of their neighbors and co-workers, family
and acquaintances with the underlying intent of
bringing them into the light so they can take
hold of the salvation that Jesus died to give to
them. Our small groups amaze me as they serve
each other and those whose needs come to their
attention. And how can I forget the many hours
spent by our Pastoral Care staff working to bring
hope and stability back to those whose lives have
been rocked by difficulties. As we consider
a capital campaign to begin the process of
expanding our facilities, let us see clearly that
we have been called by God to make disciples of
Jesus Christ, and that this is the most
significant call that any human being can have
the call of God to build His kingdom, for His
glory and to bring to His Son the reward of his
suffering. By his stripes we have been healed
now let us bring many to that same Savior who has
rescued us. As I serve here at LEFC, I am
impressed almost daily by your dedication, your
love, your service and your understanding of what
we are all about. Its a pleasure to be yoked
with you in reaching Judea, Samaria and the ends
of the earth. Greg Heisey Executive Pastor
325. Ministry ReportsChildrens Ministries
Congregational Report, May 2009
I began my work at LEFC as the Director of
Childrens Ministries on April, 1st 2009. The
transition has been smooth and I am deeply
encouraged by the level of commitment that Ive
observed among the staff and volunteers. I can
say with confidence that ministry taking place
each Sunday from birth through six grades is
meaningful, intentional, and positive. In
harmony with the mission of LEFC, we are
prayerful and focused about making children
disciples of Jesus Christ. This is happening
through the teaching of Gods word and Bible
centered curriculum. At LEFC children of all
ages have the opportunity to gather, grow, and
go. After enjoying another successful year, both
Boys Brigade and Girls Alive will conclude their
respective ministries on April 29. A heartfelt
thank you to the leaders and helpers of those
programs! Planning for the Family Fun Festival
at Lititz Spring Park has begun with a tentative
date of August 5. Stay tuned for future
promotion and opportunities to serve. May 3 kicks
off our recruiting season with a brand new theme
Standing in the Gapmaking children disciples of
Jesus Christ. The work among the children is
labor intensive and requires a great number of
volunteers to function and succeed. If youve
ever asked yourself the question, What can I do
for the Kingdom? allow me to invite you to
consider standing in the gap. We are seeking
teachers, helpers, Sunday School help, and those
who would pray. Join a team whose focus and goal
is to impact this generation with the gospel. I
want to thank you in advance for your prayerful
consideration to this urgent request. Personally,
I want you to know that I am honored to serve
with you and I look forward to the future. Be
inspired by the fact that even as I write this,
God is at work shoring up the walls and building
His great work through the hands and hearts of
those already serving. On behalf of those
children whose lives you are touching, I want to
extend my sincere gratitude and support. May God
bring much fruit as we labor in the harvest field
together. Tedd L. Webb III Director of
Childrens Ministries

Report, May 2009
- Gather
- Mission Sunday took place March 22, 2009. Rick
Green from Wallbuilders presented some of
Americas Christian history and the Biblical
basis for the freedom with which this nation has
been blessed. Eight LEFC missionaries and at
least four of the organizations LEFC supports put
up displays and spoke to various ABFs and Sunday
School classes that day. - Grow
- Three ministry training seminars have taken place
since November involving a total of 40 trainees.
A fourth is underway now. Trainees have taken
part in outreach missions like free car washes at
The Mill, door to door distributions, and other
acts of service. - At least 60 Romania, Siberia, Uganda, Israel,
REACH team members from LEFC and about 17 from
other churches will witness God at work as they
grow through outreach and service this year. - Perspectives Lite was taught in the Sojourners
ABF. - Go
- LEFC is currently supporting five organizations
and 27 missionary singles or families. - Two LEFC members traveled with BCM (Bible
Centered Ministries) to India to minister
medically to victims of the anti-Christian
persecution in Orissa state. - In September, 70 attended a spaghetti dinner for
Warwick cross country and 35 runners stayed
afterwards to watch an evangelistic sports video.
At the end of December, about 25 Warwick
wrestlers and coaches did likewise. - In February nine members of an LEFC small group
worked with the EFCA crisis response in
Galveston, Texas, by repairing hurricane damaged
houses. An unbelieving home owner suggested to
his spouse and others that they should host a
neighborhood Bible study when their house is
finished. - The Say family (Refugees from Burma) decided to
move to Utica, New York, to be with family
members and they departed March 16. - Two from LEFC and several from other churches
plan to visit Israel June 15-29. - Ten from LEFC and 13 others are headed to Romania
(June 17July 1) to provide activities for the
kids at the orphanage, and do outreach in the
neighborhood. - Twenty six from LEFC will take part in two Uganda
teams to do outreach in Kampala and various
villages (June 17-July 3 and July 1July 17). - The Siberia/Mongolia Team of four LEFCers and
four other Americans (July 14August 10) will
join some English teachers in Mongolia and
Russian believers to run evangelistic sports
camps in three cities in the two different
countries. - The REACH Team (June 2127) of 18 people from
LEFC will join others in Annville, Pennsylvania,
where they will break into teams to help repair
run-down houses and demonstrate the love of
Christ. - Allied officers were hosted by LEFC families and
others on the weekend of April 26. - LEFC families are planning to host Japanese
Students and will bring them to our Japanese
language Sunday School.
345. Ministry ReportsPastoral Care Congregational
Report, May 2009
Dear Brothers and Sisters I hope that you
are all doing well in this resurrection season.
Following is my report on some of Gods work in
pastoral care. Gather A year ago I agreed
to more officially be involved in the training of
our small groups in pastoral care. I have done
this in an assisting role to Greg Heisey who has,
besides his duties as Executive Pastor, directed
and lead the small group ministry in these last
two years. I have been involved in teaching
pastoral care to our small group leaders as part
of our quarterly training meetings that Greg
leads. Recently, Steve Friedberg, who has taken
on the leadership of overseeing the Adult Bible
Fellowships (ABFs), has agreed with Greg and me
to have the ABF leaders join in the quarterly
small group training. This is in an effort to
include the ABFs as mid-sized groups of care
into regular training in pastoral care. These
meetings also offer many other areas of training
for the benefit of the ABFs along with our small
groups. Grow Joyce Courtney has been on
staff now for going on two years. Joyce has had
the huge task of coordinating the areas of
womens ministry that have to do with group
discipleship. A large part of this ministry is
the Womens Bible Fellowship (WBF) which
primarily meets on Thursday mornings and offers
many different Bible centered studies along with
the building of friendships among women. Another
area of womens discipleship is our Titus II
study group which is offered during an evening of
the week. This group (8-12 women) offers
Biblical mentoring for women and is more focused
on building leaders. Joyce has done a wonderful
job as Womens Ministry Coordinator and it has
shown in the growth in our ladies in Jesus
Christ. Go Mary Ann Roberts will have been
on Staff this coming September for five years.
Mary Ann had the very hard job, as our first
womens ministry staff person, of developing our
two womens ministry positions at LEFC. This
approach led us to having a Womens Ministry
Coordinator and a Coordinator of Pastoral Care
for Women. As mentioned above Joyce is in this
first position and Mary Ann is in the second.
While Joyce oversees and coordinates womens
ministry, Mary Ann has the incredible
responsibility of personally meeting with
individual women for reasons of discipleship.
Mary Ann operates as a counselor to women by
focusing on building disciples for Jesus Christ.
Mary Ann is also very involved in counseling
married couples. Mary Ann usually meets with
individual women or couples for one or two
sessions and then sees that they are connected to
others for more long term counseling or
mentoring. Mary Ann is filled with love for
others and is very effective in carrying out her
ministry of offering experienced, Godly counsel
that points to Jesus Christ. Along with the
pastoral care staffs work are the tireless
efforts of staff members like Selma Rogers, who
keeps pastoral care afloat, as well as our
volunteers who lead, teach, visit, coordinate,
serve and encourage on a weekly basis. To all
these we say a very big thank you. You make up
the very ministry that we serve. Your Brother In
Christ, Jeff Batzer, Director of Pastoral Care
355. Ministry ReportsMusic/Worship Congregational
Report, May 2009
- The purpose of the Music/Worship Department is to
develop LEFC as a place of vibrant praise and
worship, anticipating Gods presence, honoring
His name, worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.
As we become disciples and make disciples of
Jesus Christ we will GATHER corporately to
encourage one other to GROW in His likeness, and
GO as disciples to our homes, communities and the
world. - Gather
- Planning and preparing for corporate worship is a
large part of my work. Each week we seek Gods
direction for congregational worship, special
music, promotional information, special events,
the technical needs for each service and many
other details. Greg Heisey, Doug Winne and I
meet to prayerfully discuss and plan services.
Our prayer is that our gathering together as a
congregation will be inspiring, challenging and
that the Holy Spirit will move among us. - We want to express appreciation to the many
volunteers who serve faithfully in many areas
related to Music and Worship at LEFC, including
Praise Band, Crosswalk Band, Sr. Hi Youth Band,
Jr. Hi Youth Band, Technical Support Teams (Sound
and Projection), Worship Dance Team, Childrens
Choir, Adult Choir, Special Music and Ushers. - I extend my deepest appreciation to the many
people who contributed time, energy and their
gifts to this years Good Friday and Easter
Services. These worship services were very
special due to the incredible commitment of time
and preparation by over 60 LEFCers who served
together for these events. I am eternally
grateful to be able to serve and worship with so
many incredibly gifted people. - I continue to facilitate technical repairs and
upgrades that affect our gatherings in the
auditorium and the Mill. We are currently
working on replacing old and worn out equipment
in the Mill and we are working on design and
seeking quotes for a stage lighting upgrade in
the auditorium. - Grow
- The Youth Band is leading worship at the Sr. Hi
Crossover (Sunday evenings) and the Jr. Hi Youth
Band is leading worship at Jr. Hi Crossover
(Tuesday evenings). I meet with the leaders of
these ministries for times of teaching and
encouragement. The growth of our Youth worship
ministry has been significant throughout the past
year, as demonstrated recently on Youth Sunday,
due to the commitment of leaders Mike Martin,
Kristina Gehman and Matt Messersmith. - The LEFC Worship Dance team is growing in its
understanding and skills in worship and dance.
This team meets every Thursday evening for
worship, prayer, instruction and rehearsal. - Go
- Plans are forming for the LEFC Picnic and Praise
in the Park (Lititz Springs Park) on June 7,
2009. This will be a very special time for the
entire family. Check out the many great
activities planned for this years event and plan
now to attend. - This year the Back to School Praise Celebration
will be on Sunday morning September 13, a special
service of worship and prayer for our schools,
school staff and school students. - Ken Martin
- Director of Music/Worship
365. Ministry ReportsCrossover Student Ministries
Congregational Report, May 2009
- Student Ministry vs. Youth Group
- About two or three years ago we announced to our
students and parents that we were cancelling
youth group for the year (insert angry emails and
phone calls from parents). After all the joy of
watching peoples reactions we went on to explain
that we are now a student ministry. This wasnt
so much a programmatic shift as much as it was a
mindset change. All year we scolded our leaders
the second they said the words, youth group and
of course, when we dropped the ball they did
the same to us. - So what is a student ministry and what is a youth
group? Im glad you asked. - In a youth group setting the youth pastor and a
few leaders do everything and the students just
show up week after week mindlessly engaged and
enjoying all the hoopla their cool youth pastor
can pump out every week. Essentially the youth
pastor does everything and the students have no
ownership theyre simply attendees. - The basic premise of a student ministry is 2
Timothy 22 which says, You have heard me teach
things that have been confirmed by many reliable
witnesses. Now teach these truths to other
trustworthy people who will be able to pass them
on to others. In a student ministry every
member is a minister and all have an equal chance
to be involved and to minister to their peers.
In this mindset, the youth pastor equips, trains,
and multiplies students to literally run the
ministry. - The process has been slow but weve come a long
way and were continuing to work towards our goal
of creating a dynamic student ministry. Here are
just a few highlights of whats happening - Our students set up Community Night every week
- Students are sharing a devotional or their
testimony every week in Sr. High Sunday School - Students run the sound and projection on Sunday
mornings and Community Nights - Both our Jr. and Sr. High worship bands are fully
student led - Four of our Sr. Highers lead their own Jr. High
small group - One of our Sr. Highers co-leads their own Sr.
High small group - Five of our former students (ages 19-23) lead
their own small group - Our eighth grade small groups are planning and
leading all the Community Nights for the month of
May. - A drama team has started this year that is fully
student-led - Two of our former students are Uganda Team
leaders this summer - I currently have a ninth grade student who says
he plans to take my job in a few years! Im
pumped about that. - We have a high school girl who will be shadowing
us next September through January for six hours a
week because she is considering full-time
ministry
375. Ministry ReportsDeacon Congregational Report,
May 2009
- The Deacons help meet the physical needs of the
LEFC body. They also assist the Elders in
meeting the spiritual needs with particular
emphasis upon men. They strive to encourage men
to become Godly and Christ-like at home, at work,
and in their communities. As a new year of
service approaches, there will be many changes to
the deacon board with many new faces. A whole
new leadership team will be in place. My goal
over the last six months was to prepare to pass
on a healthy vibrant board to my successor. It
is an exciting time to evaluate and possibly
change some ministries to be more in line with
the vision for LEFC and the new leadership. It
has been my honor and privilege to serve as a
deacon and as the deacon chair. We have a great
group of men with a heart for service and doing
what is right. I am very excited about the
deacons who are staying on and the great new
group of deacons committing to serve the body at
LEFC. - Gather
- Mens Prayer Breakfast meets the second Saturday
of each month with an average attendance of 12. - Mens Ministry
- a. Mens Adventure Day planning and preparation
continue for the event to be held on Saturday,
June 27, at LEFC. Many activities, teaching
sessions, and food are planned. - b. Promoted the Iron Sharpens Iron Conference.
- Grow
- Marriage Enrichment Promotion of Weekend to
Remember and Reconstructing Marriage seminars. - Marriage Mentoring Continuing to work on two
long term mentoring situations. There have been
ups and downs with both, with one appearing to be
in need of a miracle. - Small Group/Mentoring men A small group of guys
regularly meets. The number increased after the
small group kickoff session was held at the
church. - Top Gun groups continue to meet.
- First time fathers - Books have been handed out
to new dads. The number of first time fathers was
very low. Most births were to couples that
already had one or more children. - Go
- 1. Assistance was given five times to
widows/single ladies and others needing help with
various needs, such as minor home repairs and
maintenance or referrals to contractors who could
carry out needed repairs. - 2. Deer meat received from the Farmers and
Hunters Feeding the Hungry program was
distributed by the Servants Fund as needed. - 3. Servants Fund continues to be administered
with the Deaconesses. For the six months of
October/2008 to March/2009, 23710.76 was
disbursed. Approximately 30 family units with
were helped as well as donations to Love Inc. It
has been unique that with a troubled economy the
dollar amounts disbursed on a monthly basis have
actually decreased the last four months rather
than increased as one might expect. - 4. Budget coaching continues with a steady number
of five families being assisted in the past six
months. - 5. Ladies Car Care Day 13 mechanics/helpers
serviced 17 vehicles. Everything ran very
smoothly during this great day of fellowship. - 6. Deacons continue to pray every Sunday morning
before each service for all of the various
activities going on and especially for the
persons who are involved in them.

- Gather
- The Deaconesses hosted a farewell reception for
Stan and Mary Ann Tyson in January. We were
pleased with the turn out of this event and the
appreciation and support shown to the Tysons. - Our largest gather event for the year is the
Spring Brunch, and this year was larger than
ever. We had 140 women in attendance. Peaches
Gehman catered a wonderful meal, the presentation
by speaker LuAnn Wise on Breaking the Super
Women Image was a challenge and encouragement to
many. Melissa Zook did a great job presenting us
with organizational tips throughout the morning.
A special thanks to Audrey Hollinger and her
committee for all their hard work. - The First Friday events continue to be really
popular. The Hoedown and Soup Night last fall
and the Late Night Lock In (complete with
Sardines), and 80s Night earlier this year were
all great times of fellowship and fun. Check out
the website for pictures and info on upcoming
events. Joyce Courtney and Linda Page have put a
tremendous amount of creativity into organizing
these events. All of us on the board appreciate
them very muchThanks Joyce and Linda. - Plans are underway for our 4th Annual Tent Event
to be held August 30. All you ladies need to
mark your calendars and plan to walk through the
tent that morning to enjoy a cookie and find out
just how much is available for you to participate
in at LEFC. We look forward to talking to each
of you and getting your input. - Grow
- WBF (Womens Bible Fellowship) has proven to be a
vital part of Womens Ministries here at LEFC.
We have a steady attendance of women of all ages.
Katrina Weaver and her committee work hard to
provide a variety of classes and to provide the
childcare needed. The TLC for Moms group is a
great outreach to the younger women and offers
them a great way to be involved without having to
make a commitment every week. Krista Myer has
done a great job organizing these programs.
Other classes offered this current semester are
Beth Moore Study facilitated by Karen Tyson and
Scotty Griswold Colossians facilitated by Lynne
Hendrix Gods Name-Gods Nature facilitated by
Jan Cagno and Doris Flick Hearts and Hands to
God (Prayer Shawl Ministry) facilitated by Linda
Page The Heavenly Man facilitated by Cary
Ziegler. - WBF also has an evening group that met for study
under the leadership of Mary Ann Roberts. - There are currently four Titus II Groups meeting.
These are groups of four to six women who meet
in the home of a mentor once a month. They share
a meal have bible study and prayer time. It has
proven to be a great way for the older women to
minister to the younger women. If you are
interested in taking part in this, talk to Naomi
Sensenig or Lauren Tsai. - Lynne Hendrix and Donna Robinson have served
faithfully each month to organize a group of
volunteers to prepare communion for us all. So
much of what they do goes unnoticed and we would
like to say a special thanks to them. - Go
- Vicki Zimmerman heads up a group of volunteers
who have sent out dozens of cards, books, and
CDs and they have placed several Gideon Bibles
in someones memory over the last six months. It
is our goal to recognize all weddings, births,
deaths and illnesses with a card and small gift.
We count on the congregation to keep us informed
of these events so no one is missed. - Linda Hollopeter has worked with the El Faro
Church in Lebanon for several years and has been
heading up the food collection for the pastors
there once a month. She and her committee have
done a great job with this outreach. Linda also
works with the Deacons to organize Car Care
Days which have been a real blessing to many
single women in the congregation. - Angie Weist and her group of volunteers have done
a tremendous job of providing meals,
transportation, child care and other help to
families who have had a need. We also would like
to thank the ABFs and small groups for stepping
up to the plate in this area and doing a great
job of taking care of each other. You are truly
modeling Christ to one another. - Our annual In-Gathering in November, under the
leadership of Jen Rohrbach and Cindi Balson,
provided a Thanksgiving meal and extra groceries
to more than 40 families. Thanks to all of you
for your donations and Stauffers receipts. - Several Care Teams have been organized to provide
longer term care to families going through hard
times. Coleen Gehman, Audrey Hollinger and
Brenda Zimmerman have provided leadership in this
area. - Coleen Gehman, Diane Haehnle and Temmy Lord have
served on the Servants Fund this year along with
representatives from the Deacon Board. The
Deaconesses see this as a very important part of
our ministry. - Blessings to all of you on behalf of the
Deaconesses, - Anne Heisey and Brenda Zimmerman

I have just completed my second year as Trustee
Chair. As Chairman I am responsible to attend
General Board meetings, Finance Committee
meetings and any other meetings that fall under
the Trustee Board. The Trustees are the
overseers of all development, purchase, lease,
construction, renovation, allocation, and usage
of all church properties, facilities and major
fixed assets. We want to thank Nelson Boll who
handles the day to day operation of the facility
and Ann Unruh who keeps us all straight (well,
tries to anyway). Witness Park has been
completely turned over to the Witness Park
Cemetery Board being chaired by Daryl Bender.
The Building Committee is currently working on
the overall site and building project. The

will be giving a presentation at the
