1. What is the existing utilization of design
methods and tools?

• From customer requirements
• Software tools such as Engineering Pro,
  CAD/CAM, others
• Drawing by hand
• No specific predefined methods and tools

engineering designers have for their methods and
tools?

• Customers from USA (esp. California) require No
  Hazardous Substances specify both ROHS and
  carcinogen substances (since 2004)
• Companies provide lists of materials conforming
  to the requirement ? ask for customers acceptance
• New customers purchase scraps (containing
  precious metals.. Such as gold

• Can be classified into 3 levels
• 1. Aware and Ready (but to comply may increase
