2ISJESUS OF NAZARETH THE CHRIST?
3- JESUS FULFILLED
- MESSIANIC PROPHESY
4The Messiah Was to be born in Bethlehem
- Prophecy
- Micah 52 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though
you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet
out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be
Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of
old, from everlasting."
5The Messiah Was to be born in Bethlehem
- Fulfillment
- Luke 24-7 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee,
out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the
city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because
he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be
registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was
with child. 6 So it was, that while they were
there, the days were completed for her to be
delivered.
6The Messiah Was to be born in Bethlehem

- 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and
wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in
a manger, because there was no room for them in
the inn.
7The Messiah was to be born of a virgin
- Prophecy
- Isaiah 714 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give
you a sign Behold, the virgin shall conceive and
bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
8The Messiah was to be born of a virgin
- Fulfillment
- Luke 126-31 26 Now in the sixth month the angel
Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee
named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man
whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The
virgin's name was Mary. 28 And having come in,
the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored
one, the Lord is with you blessed are you among
women!"
9The Messiah was to be born of a virgin
- Fulfillment
- Luke 126-31
- 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at
his saying, and considered what manner of
greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her,
"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor
with God. 31 "And behold, you will conceive in
your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call
His name Jesus.
10Silent before the accusers
- Prophecy
- Isaiah 537 He was oppressed and He was
afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth he was
led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
before its shearers is silent, so He opened not
His mouth.
11Silent Before the Accuser
- Fulfillment
- Mark 154-5 4 Do you answer nothing? See how many
things they testify against You!" 5 But Jesus
still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.
12Spat upon and struck
- Prophecy
- Isaiah 506 I gave My back to those who struck
Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the

soul unto death, and He was numbered with the
transgressors." -
15Crucified with Criminals
- Fulfillment
- Mark 1527,28 27 With Him they also crucified two
robbers, one on His right and the other on His

says, "And He was numbered with the
transgressors."

Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see
corruption.
17The Christ was to be resurrected

- Mark 166-7 6 But he said to them, "Do not be
alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was
crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the
place where they laid Him. 7 "But go, tell His
disciples-- and Peter-- that He is going before
you into Galilee there you will see Him, as He
said to you."
18The Miraculous Evidence
19The Christ Would Perform Many Miracles
John 731 And many of the people believed in Him,
and said, "When the Christ comes, will He do more
signs than these which this Man has done?"
John 2030-31 30 And truly Jesus did many other
signs in the presence of His disciples, which are
not written in this book 31 but these are
written that you may believe that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you
may have life in His name.
20A RULE OF TESTIMONY
The Power of a Plurality of Witnesses Hebrews
1028 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies
without mercy on the testimony of two or three
witnesses.
21A RULE OF TESTIMONY
2 Corinthians 1221, 131 21 lest, when I come
again, my God will humble me among you, and I
shall mourn for many who have sinned before and
have not repented of the uncleanness,
fornication, and lewdness which they have
practiced. 131 This will be the third time I am
coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three
witnesses every word shall be established."
22A RULE OF TESTIMONY
1 Corinthians 154-8 4 and that He was buried,
and that He rose again the third day according to
the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas,
then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by
over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the
greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James,
then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He
was seen by me also, as by one born out of due
time.
23The TESTIMONYof those who had every earthly
reason to reject Him.
24Philippians 33-8 3 For we are the circumcision,
who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ
Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, 4
though I also might have confidence in the flesh.
If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in
the flesh, I more so 5 circumcised the eighth
day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of
Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews concerning the
law, a Pharisee 6 concerning zeal, persecuting
the church concerning the righteousness which is
in the law, blameless.
25Philippians 33-8 7 But what things were gain
to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8
Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the
excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my
Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all
things, and count them as rubbish, that I may
gain Christ
26Josephus "Jewish Antiquities" Book 28, chapter
3, section 3 (Witnessed the dest. of
Jerusalem) "Now there was , about this time,
Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a
man for he performed many wonderful works. He
was a teacher of such men as received the truth
with pleasure. He drew over to him many of the
Jews and also of the Gentiles. This was the
Christ. And when Pilate, at the instigation of
the principal men among us,
27Josephus "Jewish Antiquities" Book 28, chapter
3, section 3 (Witnessed the dest. of Jerusalem)
had condemned him to the cross, those who had
loved him from the first did not cease to adhere
to him. For he appeared to them alive the third
day, the divine prophets having foretold these
and ten thousand other wonderful things
concerning him. And the tribe of Christians so
named for him subsists to this time."
28CONCLUSION The evidence cannot be honestly
denied. Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ of God
