Acts 21-4 (NKJV) 1 When the Day of Pentecost
had fully come, they were all with one accord in
one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from
heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as
of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And
they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit
gave them utterance.

to one another, Whatever could this mean? (What

will pour out My Spirit in those days And they

That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall
be saved.

Acts 237-39 (NKJV) 37 Now when they heard this,
they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and
the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what
shall we do? 38 Then Peter said to them,
Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins

and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your
children, and to all who are afar off, as many as
the Lord our God will call.

Father, and He will give you another Helper, that

truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
neither sees Him nor knows Him but you know Him,
for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Two distinct works of the Holy Spirit ...
The Holy Spirit works within the believer after
the new birth to develop character
The Holy Spirit works upon the believer in the
baptism of the Holy Spirit to empower for
Christian service.

assembled together with them, He commanded them
not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the
Promise of the Father, which, He said, you
have heard from Me 5 for John truly baptized
with water, but you shall be baptized with the
Holy Spirit not many days from now.

the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall
be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

should not be baptized who have received the Holy
