Title: Acts 2:14 NKJV
1(No Transcript)
2Acts 21-4 (NKJV) 1 When the Day of Pentecost
had fully come, they were all with one accord in
one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from
heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled the whole house where they were sitting.
33 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as
of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And
they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit
gave them utterance.
4Acts 25-13 (NKJV) 5 And there were dwelling in
Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation
under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the
multitude came together, and were confused,
because everyone heard them speak in his own
language.
57 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying
to one another, Look, are not all these who
speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear,
each in our own language in which we were born?
612 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying
to one another, Whatever could this mean? 13
Others mocking said, They are full of new wine.
7Acts 214-21 (KNJV) 14 But Peter, standing up
with the eleven, raised his voice and said to
them, Men of Judea and all who dwell in
Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my
words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you
suppose, since it is only the third hour of the
day.
816 But THIS IS THAT which was spoken by the
prophet Joel 17 And it shall come to pass in
the last days, says God, That I will pour out of
My Spirit on all flesh Your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall
see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.
918 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I
will pour out My Spirit in those days And they
shall prophesy. 21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall
be saved.
10Acts 222-23 (NKJV) 22 Men of Israel, hear
these words Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by
God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which
God did through Him in your midst, as you
yourselves also know
1123 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose
and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by
lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death
12Acts 237-39 (NKJV) 37 Now when they heard this,
they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and
the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what
shall we do? 38 Then Peter said to them,
Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins
13and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your
children, and to all who are afar off, as many as
the Lord our God will call.
14John 1416-17 (NKJV) 16 And I will pray the
Father, and He will give you another Helper, that
He may abide with you forever 17 the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
neither sees Him nor knows Him but you know Him,
for He dwells with you and will be in you.
15John 1426 (New King James Version) But the
Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will
send in My name, He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all things that I
said to you.
16John 167 (New King James Version) Nevertheless I
tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that
I go away for if I do not go away, the Helper
will not come to you but if I depart, I will
send Him to you.
17John 168-9 (New King James Version) 8 And when
He has come, He will convict the world of sin,
and of righteousness, and of judgment 9 of sin,
because they do not believe in Me
18There are two distinct works of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit works within the believer
after the new birth to develop character The
Holy Spirit works upon the believer in the
baptism of the Holy Spirit to empower for
Christian service.
19John 413-14 (NKJV) 13 Jesus answered and said to
her, Whoever drinks of this water will thirst
again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I
shall give him will never thirst. But the water
that I shall give him will become in him a
fountain of water springing up into everlasting
life.
20Isaiah 123 (New King James Version) Therefore
with joy you will draw water from the wells of
salvation.
21Romans 109-10 (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
22John 2019-22 (NKJV) 19 Then, the same day at
evening, being the first day of the week, when
the doors were shut where the disciples were
assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and
stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be
with you.
2320 When He had said this, He showed them His
hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad
when they saw the Lord.
2421 So Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! As
the Father has sent Me, I also send you. 22 And
when He had said this, He breathed on them, and
said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.
25Titus 35 (NKJV) 5 not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to His mercy He
saved us, through the washing of regeneration and
renewing of the Holy Spirit,
262 Corinthians 517 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone
is in Christ, he is a new creation old things
have passed away behold, all things have become
new
27John 737-39 (NKJV) 37 On the last day, that
great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried
out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to
Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the
Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow
rivers of living water.
2839 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom
those believing in Him would receive for the
Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was
not yet glorified.
29Luke 2446-49 (NKJV) 46 Then He said to them,
Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary
for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the
dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and
remission of sins should be preached in His name
to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
3048 And you are witnesses of these things. 49
Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you
but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are
endued with power from on high.
31Acts 14-5 (New King James Version) 4 And being
assembled together with them, He commanded them
not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the
Promise of the Father, which, He said, you
have heard from Me 5 for John truly baptized
with water, but you shall be baptized with the
Holy Spirit not many days from now.
32John 738 (New King James Version) 39 But this
He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those
believing in Him would receive for the Holy
Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not
yet glorified.
33Acts 48-14 (New King James Version) 8 Then
Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them,
Rulers of the people and elders of Israel 9 If
we this day are judged for a good deed done to a
helpless man, by what means he has been made
well,
3410 let it be known to you all, and to all the
people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God
raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here
before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was
rejected by you builders, which has become the
chief cornerstone.
3512 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there
is no other name under heaven given among men by
which we must be saved. 13 Now when they saw the
boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that
they were uneducated and untrained men, they
marveled. And they realized that they had been
with Jesus.
