MATTER IS

• anything that takes up space
• a solid, liquid, or gas
• something that has definite properties (looks,
  feels, smells, tastes, sounds, or acts a certain
  way).
• measurable (with a measuring cup or scale)

• Have a definite size, shape, and mass
• EXAMPLES
• Wood
• Rocks
• Shoes
• Etc

buildings

LIQUIDS
water

• Do not have a definite size or shape, they flow
  or spread around easily, take the shape of
  their containers
• EXAMPLES
• Juice
• Blood
• Paint
• Etc

milk

GASES
air

• Do not have a definite size, shape, or volume.
  They are usually invisible take up all the
  space in a container.
• EXAMPLES

steam
clouds
